How old are the puppies when they go home?

We take our puppies to the vet between 7 and 8 weeks.  After they get the all clear and have their first round of vaccination at this appointment, they are ready to go home anytime.

Are you able to hold puppies for longer?

We can hold puppies for longer than the 8 weeks.  We will keep them for 1 week for free, until 9 weeks old, but after that we will have to charge $100 a week.  We continue with crate training and potty training during this time.

How far will you drive to meet me? 

We will drive 2 hours away from our home for free before we will need to charge a delivery fee for gas and time.

How often do doodles need to be groomed?

Doodles need to be on a schedule for grooming. Most groomers will want to schedule you for appointment every 6-8 weeks.  You will want to keep up on bathes with a full blow dry and daily brushes.  See the links above for a good high velocity blow dryer and daily brushes.

What health testing do we do?

Every parent in our program goes through genetic heath testing that insures we have nothing but healthy puppies born at our house. We don't do just the 5 or 6 that are most common for the breed, we test for over 250 genetic markers.

Can your doodle be registered?

There is currently one agency that will register doodles and that is the CKC.  However from my past experience their registry is extremely easy to get even with just a picture of what breed your dog looks to have in them. So I am not a huge fan of registering with them because it is money and paperwork for not a much outcome.  All our poodles in our program are AKC registered tracking their pedigree.
